better future.

Soham Vidya Vahana

‘Vidya Vahana’ is our first major program under ‘Vidya’. Students living in the remote hamlets near our MGHE project at Jog Falls have to cross dense forest and isolated lanes under the scorching sun and heavy downpours to reach school. This 10 kilometer long trek was gruelling, prompting many parents to stop sending their children, especially girls, to school. We decided to spring into action by providing a brand new school bus and dubbed it the ‘Vidya Vahana’.
