A project with   one of the highest plant load factors in South India located in Jog Falls. The 22 MW hydropower plant was commissioned in December 2007 and became the first-of-its-kind project in India to be registered under the United Nations for Framework convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The plant is downstream  to Mahatma Gandhi Hydroelectric Project which is fed by water from Linganamakki dam (Karnataka’s largest storage dam with a catchment area of 2500 sq kms). This project has set the benchmark by consistently seeking to raise the bar in power generation. The creation of the project was particularly challenging owing to complex civil structures like Head Race Tunnel (4km long with 5m dia.), inclined pressure tunnel, surge shaft and more. This project’s success  has allowed us to enhance and upgrade the scope of the plant’s operations further.
